One day we explored Cijin Island, a short ferry ride from Kaohsiung.
We hiked up to a lighthouse and a historic fort...
...and were rewarded with some great views.
On the way we stumbled upon an old cave. Creepy.
In the afternoon, we made our way to the beach. I could've set up a tent and stayed there all week! It felt so good to soak up some sun.
From there we walked down the old seafood street.
Kalan sampled some squid on a stick. In his words, it "wasn't as bad as I thought."
We finished our day with the best Mexican food I've had in Taiwan (thanks Don Burrito!)
